Who is responsible for your data

Samuel Alexander Acevedo, VAT IT02641130345, Parma, Italy.

What data this site collects

  • Contact form. Your name, email address, message and anything else you choose to write. I use them only to reply to you and, if it applies, to talk about a job or a project. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract, and my legitimate interest in answering professional enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Technical data. The hosting server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of the visit, the page requested and the browser used. This keeps the site working and secure. The data stays in the server logs for a limited period set by the hosting provider. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Visit statistics. I use Burst Statistics, which runs on this server, to count visits in aggregate form: pages viewed, the site you came from, the type of device and an approximate location (city) worked out from your IP address. It uses no cookies and does not recognise you from one day to the next. The statistics stay on this server and are not shared with anyone. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Providing your data through the contact form is optional, but without an email address I cannot reply.

Videos from YouTube and Vimeo

Videos on this site are not loaded until you press play. When you do, the video is loaded from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, through the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain) or from Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc.). These services then receive your IP address and may set cookies or similar technologies under their own rules, which may involve transfers of data outside the European Union. You can read their policies here: Google privacy policy, Vimeo privacy policy.

Cookies

This site uses only the technical cookies it needs to work, for example to keep the administrator logged in. It does not use cookies for statistics, advertising or profiling, so it does not show a cookie banner. Third-party cookies can be set only if you choose to play a video, as explained above.

Who receives the data

The site and the email service are hosted by Aruba S.p.A. (Italy), which processes the data on my behalf as a data processor. I do not sell your data, share it for marketing or use it for automated decisions.

How long data is kept

Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any professional relationship that follows, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless the law requires a longer period.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR), by writing to the contact above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
